Summary: Somehow I had managed to totally miss out on G&S when it was on TV. I had heard that it was good but never actually caught a single episode.

So I got this DVD - and I was instantly hooked and ended up watching all 6 episodes back to back in a single sitting. It is stunning - well written, great characters, great actors (Rob Brydon is a genius) and life-affirming charming.

I haven't been so bowled over by a British comedy so since Phoenix Nights or Spaced.

I'm now off to get the DVD of the second series.
